We started trading in 1983 and soon earned a reputation for high quality and customer service. We still pride ourselves on our ability to provide solutions for customers needing development samples, short production runs, special sizes or fabricated assemblies. Although we are now an experienced manufacturer of all types of extruded thermoplastic profiles, we have developed special expertise in making tubing and pipes.
Experience
We have unique and particular skills in this particular field, gained by our manufacturing experience built up during the past 23 years. The Naylor Specialist Plastics production expertise is only made possible by the continuing commitment of it's workforce. For example, our senior production personnel have more than 100 years of combined experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing between them. Naylor Specialist Plastics has recognised the importance of retaining this expertise and has instigated formal training to NVQ level for all personnel involved in any aspect of production.
Size Range
We are able to produce tubes from as small as 2mm to 200mm od with up to a 20mm wall and almost any variation in between! The many different combinations of tubes manufactured over the years means we are able to offer more than 500 different size variations from our own existing tooling. In the event of a totally new size being required, we can generally keep tooling costs to a minimum by utilising some parts of an existing set up.
Production Capacity
Our factory is working non-stop 24 hours per day and 7 days per week, for a minimum of 50 weeks of the year. This flexibility coupled with a wide variety of modern extrusion equipment and the commitment of our staff, means we are able to tailor our production to provide solutions for most eventualities. This may mean meeting an export deadline for a large export consignment, or a customer collecting from our works at 2 am in the morning! Whatever the problem, Naylor Specialist Plastics tries to provide the best solution within the timescale needed by the customer.
Post Extrusion Techniques
Our manufacturing expertise in different post extrusion applications has been extended by customer requirements over the years. We have provided solutions wherever tubes have needed to be formed to make bends, to be made into a square section, to be drilled, slotted or chamfered. We are often asked for a precise square cut length and internal or external threads. Some customers have found that these processes, when applied to extruded tubing can replace an injection-moulded item thereby eliminating the need for expensive tooling.

The flexibility of our working week coupled with our expertise, enable us to tailor our production to provide solutions for most eventualities. This may mean meeting an export deadline for a large consignment, or a customer collecting from our premises at 2am on a Saturday morning! Whatever the problem we try to provide the best solution within the timescale needed by the customer.

Our commitment to quality means that all of our operators are trained to NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) levels 1 and 2 in plastics Processing, following guidelines issued by the BPTA.
